Prithvi Pankaj Shaw - Pinch Hitter

Personal Life and family:

Prithvi Pankaj Shaw was born on November 9, 1999.

 He is an Indian player and plays international cricket matches for the Indian team. He also plays for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premium League.
His parents move from Gaya, Bihar to thane, Maharashtra after the birth of Prithvi. He was a central figure in the documentary film Beyond All Boundaries. He was selected twice for England for his cricketing education.

Domestic career :

Prithvi played for Middle Income Group (MIG) Cricket club in Mumbai and he was the captain of the Rizvi Springfield High School and the Mumbai under-16 team. In November 2013 he had scored the highest score by any batsman in an organized form of cricket where he hit 546 runs in a Haris Shield elite division match.
In 2012 he scored 155 runs in the semi-final and 174 runs in the finals in Rizvi Springfield and two Harris Shield.
His Haris Shield performances were followed by some other centuries also. He hit centuries on debut in both Ranji Trophy as well as on Duleep Trophy.

Prithvi also made his List A debut for the Mumbai in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017. He made 227* against Pondicherry in the VHT. He made 827 runs in the same tournament which is also a record now. 227* currently the best individual score within the tournament history.

Indian premium League :

In January 2018, Prithvi was bought by the Delhi Daredevils for 1.2 crores. He did not play early matches but once the Gautam bat did not score runs and that he got the chance to open for Delhi Daredevils. He scored 22 runs in 10 balls.
On April 2018, Prithvi made his first IPL fifty against the Kolkata Knight Rider and went on to become the joint youngest player to score the IPL fifty along with Sanju Samson.

On April 29, 2021, Shaw hit six boundaries in an over in the IPL after Rahane. He is the second player now to do that.

International career:

In September 2018 he was named in the tour of the WestIndies against Westindies where he scored a test century on 4th October 2018 and he becomes the youngest batsman to score a century on debut for India. In that series Shaw being named the Player of the Series.

In 2020 Shaw was selected for the Australian tour but he had poor performance in the first test against Australia, scoring 0 and 4 and he was dropped in the next match.

In January 2020 Shaw was named in India's ODI squad for their series against New Zealand. He made his ODI debut against New Zealand on Feb 5, 2020.
In June 2021, he was named in India's ODI and T20 squads for their series against Sri Lanka.
He scored 43 runs off 24 balls and become the man of the match in that match. He breaks the Sehwag record in that match.

  1. Youngest player to score a century (18 years and 329 days).
  2. Break the record of the Sehwag in the first match against Sri Lanka.

Quinton De Kock- Super Cool

Personal Life and Family:

Quinton De Kock was born on 17th December 1992. He is a South African international player and former captain of all three formats of cricket. His nickname is Quinny. His marital status is married. He married his girlfriend Sasha Hurly. Quinton De Kock has one sister and her name is Dalean De Kock.

Domestic Career:

De Kock went to the same school where Graeme Smith and Neil Mckenzie attended. The school name is King Edward 7 School. He promotes as part of the South African U-19 side and ends up with as highest run-scorer in the Under 19 World Cup in Australia.
 In the same year when he played for Champions League T20, De Kock comes into everyone's eye when he played the sparkling knock to help his team to win a match against Mumbai Indians.

International Career :

He starts his international career against New Zealand in the T20 series which was played in South Africa. In this series, AB wants a break and in this way, Kock got entry into the South African national side.

He made his international ODI debut against New Zealand at Paarl on January 19, 2013. However international success didn't come early for him. He has since played regularly for the team in ODI as well as in T20. 
He comes in limelight again when he hit the three consecutive century against India.
He pretty much came in and out from the team until he again hit the two-century and give solidified performance once again. By his 20th match, he already scored five centuries.

He was also awarded as Player of the Tournament in 2014 against Zimbabwe.
In 2017, he was named as the wicket-keeper of the World ODI eleven by the ICC.
He made his Test debut against Australia at Port Elizabeth in 2014. He did not give a good performance there and David Vilas was chosen over him as there was freaky injury happen.  
After some time he gave a good performance and in 2016 he was in the team of South Africa.

Right now everyone compares him with Adam Gilchrist.
On 22 July 218 during the second Test match against West Indies, he becomes the fastest wicketkeeper to take 150 dismissals.
On 12th June 2012, he joined Mark Boucher in 3000 run test cricket as a wicketkeeper of South Africa.
He played very fearless cricket in test matches and he scored in the fifties most of the time.
On 4 February 2020 ODI series against England he scored the 15th ODI century and joined second fastest South African to reach 5000 ODI runs. 
In IPL, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challenge Banglore, and Mumbai Indians. He opens for Mumbai Indian in IPL with Rohit Sharma every time.

He is the backbone of the South African cricket team.

SHAFALI VERMA - PINCH HITTER

Personal Life:

Shafali Verma was born on 28 January 2004 in Rohtak, Haryana. Her father's name is Sanjiv Verma and her mother's name is Praveen Bala. Shafali has two siblings a young one and an elder one Sahil Verma, who also plays cricket. 

She is a right-handed batwoman and right arm off-break. She is a pure Hindu and follows all Hindu traditions. Her hobbies are playing cricket, listening to music, and traveling.

 Career:

Shafali Verma plays cricket at the age of 8. Her father trained her for the first 3 years. Boys at the initial stage refused to play cricket because they might get hurt.
She made her WT20 debut for India at the age of fifteen, against South Africa, at the age of fifteen. She was the youngest player, male or female, to represent India in all three formats of international cricket.
And in November 2019 she was the youngest half- centurion for India in international cricket. In that series, she scored 158 runs in five matches and named as player of the series.
In January 2020 she was selected in the India squad for the 2020 ICC Women T20 World Cup and was awarded a central contract by the BCCI. After that series, she was named as the number 1 rank in the ICC T20 women.



Verma made her test debut on 16 June 2021 against England scoring 96 runs. She was named as the player of the match after this Test match scoring 159 runs in her two innings.



She also made her ODI against England., on June 27, 2021.

Records :

  1. She has 3rd most runs in the debut match (159).
  2. She is the youngest player in male or female to represent India. (15year and 239 days).

Facts :

  • Youngest Indian player to score a 50 in T20 cricket.

 SMRITI MANDHANA - FUTURE OF FEMALE INDIAN CRICKET

Personal Life:

Smriti Shriniwas Mandhana was born on 18 July 1996 in Mumbai

. She is a left-hand batwoman and right-arm off-break bowler. Both her father and brother, Shravan, played cricket at the district level, Sangli. At the age of nine, she was selected in Maharashtra's Under 15 team. At the age of eleven, she was selected in Maharastra's Under 19 team.

Domestic career:

Playing for Maharashtra against Gujarat she scored 224 runs in 150 balls and she was unbeaten in that match in the West Zone Under -19 Tournament.
In 2016  she scored three half-centuries for India Red in as many games and helped her team to win the trophy against the Indian Blue. 
She is a very talented cricketer and everyone knows her name after this.


International career :

Mandhana made her international Test debut against England on 13 August 2014 at Wormsley Park.

The Indian women team won that test match against England and Mandhana scored 51 runs in the second innings chase the target of 182 runs.
She made her ODI debut against Bangladesh on 10 April 2013.
She scored her maiden century against Australia in Australia. She made 102 runs off 109 balls.
In the same year, Mandhana signs up for the one-year deal with the Brisbane Heat for the WBBL.

In this league, she was injured against Melbourne Renegades in the year 2017. She hurt her knee in this match and she was ruled out from the tournament.
In June 2018 she sign up Kia Super League and she was the first Indian to join this league.

In November 2018 she signed up with the Hobart Hurricanes squad for 2018-19 for the Women Big Bash League Season.
She comes back in the World cup 2017 as she was injured earlier in WBBL.
In the first of the group matches she was named as a player of the match.
She scored 2nd century in this World Cup against West Indies.

Team India lost this World Cup against England just by a margin of 9 runs.

On 3 August 2018, she scored the first century in the 2018 Women's super Cricket League.
In February 2019, she was named as captain of the Indian Women's T20 for three matches against England. She was the youngest T20 captain for Team India.

Records:

  1. She is the 10th fastest to score the 1000 runs.
  2. She is 7th most innings before the first duck.
  3. 4th highest partnership for the first wicket.
  4. 6th most runs in a series (911).

 SHUBMAN GILL - FUTURE OF INDIAN TEAM

Personal Life:

Shubman Gill was born on 8 September 1999 in Fazilka Punjab. His Father Lakhwinder Singh, an agriculturist. Shubman was passionate about cricket at a very early stage of life. He played cricket since the age of three. His nickname is Shubhi. His mother is Keart Gill. He has an elder sister name Shahneel Kaur Gill.

His father shows this talent and therefore he shifted to Mohali and rented a house near the PCA stadium.

Domestic career:

Shubham was chosen to play under the -16 Punjab cricket team, at the age of 11, at the district level. He made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016-2017 Vijay Hajare Trophy on 25 February 2017. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017-18 Ranji trophy on 17 November 2017.
In January 2018 Kolkata Knight Rider bought him in  Rs 1.8 crore

He made his debut when he played his first match for Kolkata Knight Rider in the 2018 IPL edition.
In October 2018 he was named in India C's squad for the 2018-19 Deodhar trophy. Gill scored his maiden double class century in first-class cricket scored 268 runs.
By January 1, 2019, Gill score more than 950 plus runs in first-class cricket across eight matches. He was the leading run score for Punjab in 2018-19.

International career:

In January 2019 Gill was in the ODI team against New Zealand. 
On 31 January 2019, he made his international debut against New Zealand in the fourth ODI.

In August 2019 he was the young player to score a century in a first-class match.
Gill made his debut for India on 26 December 2020 against Australia. In the fourth Test match of this series, he scored 91 runs to help India to win the series.
In the last match, he played against New Zealand in the WTC final where he scored less than 30 runs in both innings.
He scores 28 runs in the first inning and he scored 8 runs in the second inning.

Although this is his early-stage final he has to go a long way in cricket. He is the future of the Indian cricket team.
He also won the emerging player award in the 2019 Indian Premier League.
