Personal Life:
Faf Du Plessis is a South African player and a former captain of the South Africa national team. He is a Christain and he is a Jesus lover. He married his girlfriend IMARI VISSER in 2013.
He has one sister also. His sister also married a South African cricketer Hardus Viljoen in December 2019.
He comes in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2017.
He concluded his statement that " All life doesn't matter until Black lives matter".I want to live a legacy of empathy. The work needs to continue for the change to come and whether we agree or disagree, the conversation is the vehicle for change.
Professional Life :
Francois Faf Du Plessis is a South African international cricketer and former South African national cricket team player. He has played South Africa domestic cricket for the Northern and the Titans.
He has played for Chennai Super Kings in IPL and Quetta Gladiator for PSL.
He is a right-hand batsman and a part-time leg-spin bowler.
He made his test debut against Australia in November 2012 and become the fourth South African to score a Test century on debut.
He is a middle-order batsman mainly but he opens for Chennai Super Kings.
He becomes a test captain in 2016 and he becomes a full-time captain in August 2017.
Under his captaincy, South Africa played in the 2019 World Cup but they did not perform well, and they out from the tournament.
On 17 February 2021 Faf Du Plessis announced his retirement from Test Cricket so that he can focus on the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and 2022.
Faf du Plessis made his ODI debut against India in Jan 18,2011. He was chosen ahead of the great all-rounder Albie Morkel in the 2011 World Cup.
He was named one of the South Africa Cricket Annual players of the year in 2011.
He has a very successful season with the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2012 scored 398 runs.
In 2013 in October against Pakistan, he was fined 50% of the match after being guilty of the ball tempering in that Test match.
In 2016 when South African star cricket player AB step down from captaincy Faf Du Plessis inherit the role of captaincy.
He scores a maiden ODI century against Australia where he scores 106 runs.
He scores a maiden T20 century against West Indies in January.
He scores a maiden Test century against Australia in the 2nd inning in which he scores unbeaten 110 runs.
He is the first South African to score a century in all three formats of the Cricket game.
In the end, the white ball journey still left him and I hope the South African team will win the upcoming ICC T20 WC and FAF lift the World Cup trophy.
